Having worked in the creative sector for 10 years in London running a decorative architectural glass manufacturing company for the later part, Karen took a summer out to study at UCL’s Slade School of Art in 2010, where her love of painting was compounded. After moving to Auckland, she attended Browne School of Art for four years. She now has two school aged children and a dog, so when time allows she can be found painting away in her shared studio downtown (Studio 6 in Sunday School Union Building). She is also a member of the Railway Street Gallery in Newmarket and regularly participates in group and solo shows there.
